Explore coverts for wild birds in the surrounding area of Mount Desert Island or our other upland hunting destinations in Maine, either near enough for a day trip or by consecutive days with lodging arrangements for more distant destinations. Hunt Ruffed Grouse and Woodcock with our own beautiful stylish line of Llewellin English Setters: superb experienced hunters and even have the opportunity get to see developing pups work. Or introduce clients’ own dogs to our Maine wild bird hunting to add to the mix. We welcome any skill or experience level. Safety is always a priority and is taught along with the basics of this wonderful sport to novices. We love introducing new hunters to upland birds. Beginning hunters are supervised under the watchful eye of a Master Maine Guide and a special one year apprentice hunting license is available from the State of Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Department for beginners who have not yet completed their Hunter Safety Certification, but can hunt under the supervision of a responsible licensed individual. We also have equipment available for this type of trip.

We offer fall upland bird hunting trips to more distant destinations such as the Grand Lake Stream area and an Allagash Wilderness/North Woods remote bird hunting camp. We can arrange overnight accomodations for consecutive hunting days in Grand Lake Stream whether at a full service premium lodge or a sporting camp housekeeping cabin.
